This period marked a major chapter in my career as a professional painter. There were exhibitions before this, and more will be added, but the Royal William Yard was a defining home for my work.

A huge thank you to Urban Splash for their support throughout those years — Tom Bloxham, Nathan Cornish, Jason Collard, Emily Jones, and everyone who helped shape the Yard. It truly felt like a family.

When the amazing America’s Cup landed in Plymouth, the whole city seemed to buzz. I couldn’t resist creating a short series inspired by the sleek yachts slicing across the Sound — all speed, elegance and attitude. I displayed the paintings alongside the launch of the latest Golf GTi at Murray’s, perfectly positioned opposite the marina where the racing boats were docked. It was a brilliant crossover of worlds: high‑performance yachts outside, high‑performance cars inside, and my canvases tying the whole thing together. We didn’t manage to tempt any of the yachties in to buy one (their loss), but every piece found a home over the following years. A slow burn, but a satisfying one.
