I am really enjoying this new series with new colours, marks, and ways to express in the abstract. I started these after a "very" hot month in Thailand where I concentrated on taking photos of views, buildings, and beach scenes where there was an abundance of vibrant colours and hues picked up by the hot sun and shadows, using my lens as much as possible in an abstract manor. Once home I embarked on some colour sketch paintings inspired by these photos and then moved onto small and then larger canvases. After the initial sketches it was like reinventing your handwriting in paint.
